Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok will play in place of Vladimir "Chappie" Kuzmenko on Team Empire at The International 2017, due to the latter players' visa issues.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Resolut1on stated that he will be playing for the team. On Sunday, Team Empire tweeted that Chappie had his visa approved, but had not received his passport from the embassy. On Monday, the team stated that he still hadn't received his passport, and if he didn't receive it by Tuesday, Resolut1on would take his place at TI7.

Resolut1on was playing for Planet Odd until Tuesday, when the organization released their roster. Prior to playing for Planet Odd, Resolut1on was part of the Digital Chaos roster that placed 2nd at TI6, and placed 9th-12th at TI5 with Team Empire.

Team Empire's first match of the tournament will be later today against Team Secret in Group A.
