Vainglory studio raise $19 million in funding

Super Evil Megacorp, the developers behind the mobile MOBA Vainglory, have raised $19 million in their most recent funding round, according to a news release from the publisher.

"We’re happy to announce that we've have raised an additional $19 million in funding from our awesome investors," the studio said in a statement. "Together, we’re doubling down on our mission to build the best core game experiences for the touchscreen generation."

According to Super Evil Megacorp, the funding will go towards the development of Vainglory's upcoming 5-on-5 game mode, their proprietary E.V.I.L engine and expanding their staff.

On top of the funding round, Vainglory will also be making its major television premiere on Disney XD with a special episode of ESL's Street Fighter show ESL Brawlers on the network's new late night gaming block, D|XP.

"Every day, we’re humbled by the millions of players around the world who log into Vainglory to be part of our journey," Super Evil Megacorp said in a statement. "We plan to bring Vainglory and future games to even bigger audiences around the world."
