Gambit Gaming's AD Carry, Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou, has received a four-game suspension for showing a pattern of negative in-game behavior and toxicity.

According to the ruling, Tzortziou has been reported in 70% of his games in the last 30 days, with 92% of those being for verbal abuse, offensive language and having a negative attitude.

Gambit enter the final week of the European LCS Summer Split in a tie for fifth place, holding a 7-9 record. They will play Elements and H2k in their final two matches, which will decide whether or not the team will be able to hold on to their playoff position.

As Tzortziou is ineligible to play in Gambit's next four games, the team will have to continue their final push towards the EULCS playoffs with a stand-in AD Carry.

Dmitry "Moo" Sukhanov, Gambit's Team Manager, commented on the ban:

"We have been informed that there is an ongoing investigation concerning FORG1VEN on 13th of July. We have been warned that the type of punishment was not determined yet, but it can range from a financial fine to, worst-case scenario, being temporarily suspended from LCS. In light of that, it was suggested to prepare for the worst-case scenario by recruiting a substitute, since according to the rules the teams are not able to add any more players, even substitutes, after 14th of July.

We have been informed about the final verdict on Tuesday, July 21st at 01:00 AM, when we were certain that we have already avoided the worst-case scenario. Nevertheless, you are aware of the verdict. It's a harsh decision, when there are only two days left until the ninth week of LCS EU Summer.
