The fans have spoken and they have chosen Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming as the North American representatives for the San Jose leg of Intel Extreme Masters Season X. The tournament organizers released the news Thursday.
According to the poll results, CLG came in first with 33 percent of the votes. TSM edged over last year's champions, Cloud9, with 27 percent of the votes over their 25.
The NA LCS teams will join the winners of the European fan vote, Fnatic and Origen. Two more slots are up for grabs, but details have yet to be released on how they will be awarded, though there is a qualifier tab for the tournament.
So far, the only returning team from last season's IEM San Jose is TSM, who finished in third after being swept 2-0 by Unicorns of Love.
Six teams total will be competing for a $150,000 USD prize pool at IEM San Jose, which is set to take place in the SAP Centre from Nov. 21-22.
