Alexander "XBOCT" Dashkevich and Gleb "Funn1k" Lipatnikov will stand-in for Team Empire at the upcoming Game Show Global eSports Cup LAN finals, according to a report from GosuGamers' Arvind "arvindl" L.

The former Natus Vincere players will be replacing Airat "Silent" Gaziev in the carry role, while Empire's offlane role has been in flux for a long time now. It's currently unknown why Silent could not attend the tournament.

Most recently XBOCT was an analyst on the Russian caster desk for the Frankfurt Major, but the last time he played was almost a month ago. He stood in for HellRaisers for two series during the SL i-League qualifiers, they went 1-2 against Vega Squadron and 0-2 against Golden Boys.

Funn1k is currently standing-in for Empire at the ongoing DreamLeague season 4 LAN finals, which is taking place at DreamHack Winter 2015. Funn1k has been doing work for Empire as he has the fifth most assists and the twelfth highest KDA of the tournament so far.

Empire have progressed to the Loser's Finals of DreamLeague Season 4 after sweeping Alliance 2-0. They will face 4 Clovers & Lepricon and the winner will advance to the Grand Finals, where OG currently wait.
