Olivier "Luffy" Hay has left Team Meltdown, the player announced on Jan 1.

Luffy joined Meltdown in 2014, and while with the team he won EVO 2014, placed third at Capcom Cup 2014, second at DreamHack Winter 2015 and fifth in 2015's Topanga World League. He's known for achieving incredible results at tournaments while still using a PlayStation 1 controller instead of a more traditional fightstick or pad.

The Rose player is often considered to be the best Street Fighter IV player in Europe, and has regularly defeated his local rivals Valentin "Valmaster" Petit and Ryan "Prodigal Son" Hart. Across 22 tournaments in 2015, Luiffy placed first eight times, and made Top 8 17 times.

Luffy put himself on the map by sending Daigo Umehara into the losers' bracket at the 2010 World Games Cup. Daigo defeated him later in the tournament, but it was the beginning of Luffy's career as Europe's great hope agaisnt the rest of the world's top Street Fighter players. Luffy eventually became the first ever European player to win a Street Fighter tournament at EVO.

Luffy is also a strong The King of Fighters XIII player, and placed second at Hypespotting 4.
