Ales "Freeze" Knezinek is the newest member of Renegades, the organization announced Wednesday.

Freeze previously played for the Copenhagen Wolves, and finished the Summer Split with a 4.04 KDA. CW finished the split in last place and were automatically relegated, however, Freeze was considered a strong player and often finished games with a positive KDA.

“I always wanted to try playing in NA since it’s something completely new,” says Freeze on why he pursued the opportunity to play in NA. “New culture, new country, new players to defeat and dominate,” Freeze said to's David "True" Demarco.

Freeze will be replacing Ritchie "Intense" Ngo, who played for Renegades in the Challenger Series, and Ainslie "maplestreet" Wylie, who helped the team win the Challenger Series playoffs and qualifying for the LCS. As Renegades' new AD Carry, he'll be teaming up with Maria "Remilia" Creveling in the bottom lane.

According to the press release, Freeze bootcamped with Renegades in Korea for six weeks in preparation for the Spring Split.

Renegades' first game in the NA LCS will be against Team Liquid on Jan. 16.

  • Oleksii “RF Legendary” Kuziuta
  • Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo
