New organization supported by Syfy channel co-founder acquires Misfits, signs IgNar, Hans

EU CS team Misfits has been sold to a new organization known as eSports Now, which is primarily backed by Syfy co-founder Mitchell Rubenstein, according to ESPN's Jacob Wolf.

Additionally, the team has added former Millenium AD carry Liv "Hans" Steven and former KT Rolster support Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun to their roster, bringing the lineup to seven players.

In a statement to ESPN, eSports Now founder Ben Spoont said that he is "incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter with such a powerful group of players."

"It is an honor to work with quite possibly one of the most dynamic and talented rosters the Challenger Series has seen. We look forward to competing against the other teams and achieving our goal of entering the LCS," Spoont said.

Misfits was formerly known Renegades: Banditos, They rebranded after their parent organization, Renegades, was banned from the LCS.

"I'm glad to be offered another chance with Misfits and to be part of that very promising lineup," Hans told ESPN. "It's now up to us to face a LCS team in the relegation tournament in a few months."
