As EVO approaches, noted fighting game enthusiast Lupe Fiasco is hoping to make a cameo appearance at the event, potentially battling it out with Team Solomid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios in SSB4.
Lupe is no stranger to the fighting game scene, having faced off against Daigo "Daigo" Umehara in Street Fighter V back in February. Lupe managed to defeat Daigo, despite Daigo being a world champion player, causing speculation that the match had been staged.
Ironically enough, Lupe's go-to character for SSB4 seems to be Ryu, which is the character Daigo used in their Street Fighter match a few months ago. Coincidence? Or did Lupe take some notes on Daigo's methods and decide to try them out for himself?
Lupe is known for being incredibly passionate about fighting games, so maybe he's actually that good. Regardless, this time he's decided to take on Team Solomid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios, another big name in the FG scene.
ZeRo has been an incredibly dominant player since he entered the scene back in 2011, maintaining a consistent first place record in almost all of his 1v1 matches across the last two years of playing Smash 4 tournaments.
