Lee "Infiltration" Seonwoo has won EVO 2016 with a 3-1 victory over Ai "Fuudo" Keita in the second set of the Grand Finals, burning yet another direct Capcom Cup finals qualification spot.

This marks Infiltration's third EVO title, and his third 2016 Capcom Pro Tour victory after Final Round 19 and NorCal Regionals. Infiltration dominated the winners' bracket until a close 3-2 loss to Fuudo in the Winners' Finals sent him to the losers' bracket.

But Infiltration clawed his way back. He defeated Fujimura "Yukadon" Atsushi 3-2 in the Losers' finals, then won the first set of the Grand Finals with three perfects, and one near-perfect to reset the bracket.

Fuudo took one round in the second set, but it wasn't nearly enough to break the iron wall of Infiltration's defence. Infiltration ended things with a classic Nash play, a simple dash up and grab, something Fuudo either wasn't expecting or wasn't able to react to.
