Lee "Forev" Sang-don and Kim "QO" Seon-yeob's contracts have expired with MVP, and the players are set to re-negotiate new contracts with the organization, the players announced on Twitter Monday.
MVP placed 5th-6th at The International 2016 after placing fourth in their group with an 0-6-1 record. The team went on to defeat OG 2-1 before being swept out of the tournament by Wings Gaming and Fnatic in two 2-0 series.
Forev joined MVP in 2013, but re-joined the MVP Phoenix squad in December 2015. QO came to the team in 2014, after leaving 5 in QO in March. The team also placed 5th-6th at The Manila Major and fourth at The Shanghai Major.
MVP's social media manager, Felix "JeeF" Jedelhauser tweeted that the organization is still negotiating contracts, and QO tweeted that he has yet to decline any offers, though the roster's goal is to keep the current five players together. It is unclear if the remaining three players' contracts have expired as well.
