Shane "ShaneisGhost" Mesner has parted ways with Splyce on Monday, a day after Splyce was eliminated from the Overwatch Open.

ShaneisGhost's first major event with Splyce was the Overwatch Open North America Regional, where Splyce would place second in a group consisting of Team EnVyUs and Selfless Gaming, advancing to the Overwatch Open LAN in Atlanta as a result. In the interim, Splyce placed second at the GosuGamers Overwatch Weekly NA #18.

At the Overwatch Open, Splyce lost to Team EnVyUs 2-0 in the first round of Group A, subsequently being eliminated from the tournament by NRG eSports in the second round.

Splyce originally picked up an Overwatch team in June, signing the roster of "Fine, I'll Go McCree." In July, the team dropped Joshua “Steel” Nissan and Matthew “flame” Rodriguez from the team and held open tryouts to replace them.

Splyce's Overwatch roster is now as follows:

  • Bradford "PYYYOUR" Ross
  • Matthew "clockwork" Dias
  • Canaan Michael "Shrugger" Carman
  • Ryan "sycknesS" Mitchell
  • Nicholas "ninjanick" Poulos
