Team SoloMid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrioo has won The Big House 6 with two 3-0 wins over Immortal's Jason "ANTi" Bates in the Grand Finals.

On his way to the Grand Finals, ANTi took out James "VoiD" Makekau-Tyson, Eric "Mr. E" Weber and Furukawa "Komorikiri" Rei before beating ZeRo 3-1 in the Grand Finals. Meanwhile, ZeRo beat Gavin "Tweek" Dempsey, Kawamura "Abadango" Yuta and Samuel "Dabuz" Buzby in the Winner's Bracket, and beat Komrikiri 3-1 in the Loser's Finals.

The Grand Finals started with a clean 3-0 from ZeRo, though ANTi opted to pick Charizard in the final game of Set 1. Things started well for ANTi, as he finished ZeRo's first stock pretty quickly with a deadly up-throw, but he couldn't keep the momentum going. Charizard is combo food, and ZeRo sent Charizard back to his Pokeball to reset the bracket.

ANTi went back to Mario in Game 2, but after taking two wins off ANTi's Mario in Game 1, ZeRo was ready to bring down the plumber again. After two more losses, ANTi switched to Cloud, but it was too late — ZeRo was on a roll and nothing could stop him. Two stocks later, ZeRo was able to defend his Big House title.

ZeRo won the Big House 5 in 2015 from the loser's bracket, his first ever tournament performance that included a loss. Best known for having the longest win streak in Smash 4 history, ZeRo struggled in the first half of 2016, but has come back swinging over the last few months. ZeRo took third place at EVO, first at 2GGT: Abadango Saga and now first at The Big House 6.
