Joseph Mang0" Marquez has won The Big House 6's Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament after a 3-2 victory over Adam "Armada" Lindgren in the second set of the Grand Finals.

On his way to the Grand Finals, Mang0 defeated Michael "Nintendude" Brancato, Ryan "The Moon" Coker-Welch, Mustafa "Ice" Ackakaya, and beat Armada 3-2 in the Winner's semifinals.

Armada defeated James "Swedish Delight" Liu and David "KirbyKaze" MacDonald before his loss to Mang0, then beat Juan "Hugrybox" Debiedma, Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman and Ice to get his Grand Finals runback.

Once there, Armada dominated Mang0 for the first set of their match, taking two quick games in succession with stocks to spare. Mang0 took one back, but Armada retaliated with another two-stock finish to reset the bracket.

Set two was far closer, as the players traded games back and forth, always going down to last stock situations. It was Mang0 who finally broke the cycle, taking Game 5 on Dreamland 64 with a clean up-throw up-air combo on his last stock.

This is Mang0's third first-place finish at a major this year, following a long gold medal drought. Mang0 won Super Smash Con 2016, WTFox 2 and DreamHack Austin 2016 over the past few months. This is also Mang0's third Big House title, after his wins at The Big House 2 in 2012 and The Big House 4 in 2014.
