Joseph "Mang0" Marquez will not be attending Canada Cup as it conflicts with Halloween weekend, the player said on stream Thursday night.

Mang0 explained that since he'll be missing Thanksgiving for Smash Summit 3, he wanted to spend time with his son on Halloween, which takes place the same weekend as Canada Cup.

"I didn't realize it was Halloween weekend, so I might have to do dad s**t," Mang0 said. "I can't skip out two holidays, it's just unfortunate, just the timing."

Canada Cup was set to have a stacked Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament, with all five of the currently active top players invited to the tournament. However, William "Leffen" Hjelte is not currently listed on the list of registered players, leaving just Adam "Armada" Lindgren, Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma and Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman in attendance, along with several other Top 20 players.

Canada Cup runs from Oct. 28-30 in Toronto, Canada.
