Canada's largest Smash Bros. tournament is back in action, as Even Matchup Gaming has announced Get On My Level 2017 for July 29-30.
Considered a "supermajor" for its ability to attract a massive amount of top tier Smash Bros. players, Get On My Level 2017 will be held at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
This year's edition also plans to feature a crew battle on July 28, where teams consisting of the best players from each province will duke it out to see which one reigns supreme in Smash.
Last year's iteration didn't lack exciting moments as it played host to a stellar tournament run and eventual victory by William “Leffen” Hjelte, who at the time was unable to secure a visa to the United States but was able to attend the tournament due to its Canadian location. GOML is also the last major tournament where Adam "Armada" Lindgren failed to make it to the Top 4.
Smash 4 will also be on display at the event, as Elliot "Ally" Bastien Carroza-Oyarce will hope to retain his crown and preserve his status as the game's top Canadian player. Last year marked Ally's (and Canada's) first major tournament win.
