Adam "Armada" Lindgren has taken home his second Super Smash Bros. Melee Evolution title with a 3-1 win over Joseph "Mang0" Marquez in the Grand Finals.

This is Armada's second EVO Melee title, after his 2015 win. It's also his third EVO Melee Grand Finals appearance, after his second place finish in 2016. On his way to the Grand Finals, Armada defeated Mang0 3-0 in the Winners' Finals, Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman 2-1 in Winners' Semifinals, Jeffery "Axe" Williamson 2-0, and Johnny "S2J" Kim 2-0.

Notably, Armada only dropped one game to Axe and one to Mang0 after finishing his pools and qualifying for the Top 48. Armada also only used Peach in Top 8.

This is Armada's fifth first place title this year, after a run of tournament wins that includes Genesis 4, the Smash Summit Spring 2017 and DreamHack Summer 2017. He'll be taking home an estimated $8,610 for his EVO victory.
