Not to let last year's Street Fighter V launch party go unmatched, Capcom will be hosting a combination Capcom Pro Tour 2017 kickoff event and launch party for rapper Lupe Fiasco's new album, DROGAS Light.
As part of the CPT kickoff, the party will feature matches between some of SFV's top competitors, with a Capcom Cup Grand Finals rematch as the main event. Du "NuckleDu" Dang and Ricki Ortiz will face off in the main event, but the undercard is bringing the hype as well. Ryan "Flipino Champ" Ramirez will fight Daigo Umehara, while Justin Wong will play against Darryl "Snake Eyez" Lewis.
On top of Lupe and the fights, the party will also feature appearances from a bunch of rappers and DJs, including Murs, Dan the Automator, Del the Funkee Homosapien, DJ Qbert and Domino.
Finally, the event will also coincide with the release of SFV's newest DLC character. In the announcement post, Capcom stated that the second Season 2 character will drop in the middle of February, while details on the character will drop sometime next week.
The Street Fighter X Lupe Fiasco CPT 2017 Kickoff and DROGAS launch party will be left on Feb. 17 in San Francisco, California.
